In my determination to try cables, I found about a skein and a half of Debbie Bliss Soho left over in my stash, and used it to make this hat. I started and finished the whole thing last night, after finishing the String bag and attaching the Doctor's Bag handles.

Snow Day: Part II
The Snow Day also allowed me to knit a whole bag: the

Saturday Market Bag by Jodie Danenberg. I came across the pattern and some modifications on Ravelry. So using only a ball and a half of Lily Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn, I produced the following today:

Snow Day! Part I
I was awoken at 5:19am and again at 5:50am to find out that both Rider, and Eden were closed today due to "inclement weather." Here's the inclement weather:


Not really that bad. But plows are apparently not real big in NJ. Regardless, I enjoyed having the day off... The mail came with my bag handles for the Doctor's Bag, so I sewed those in. I still need to find some sort of support for the bottom of the bag, but none of our cardboard boxes are long enough for this bag. Anyway, here it is. It is huge:

Anthropologie-inspired capelet/shrug
Finished the capelet this morning! This was a nice quick distraction from the Rowena Cardigan which will clearly take longer to finish.
